Kenya has reaffirmed its steadfast dedication to peace, stability, economic transformation, and multilateral cooperation during a high-level diplomatic briefing led by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs, Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, in Nairobi. The quarterly meeting brought together members of the diplomatic corps, international organization representatives, and senior government officials, serving as a platform to strengthen dialogue and partnerships that advance shared global priorities. Dr. Mudavadi welcomed newly accredited envoys, assuring them of government support, and paid tribute to the late Ambassadors Mninwa Johannes Mahlangu of South Africa and Serge Mombouli of Congo for their lifelong contributions to African diplomacy.
He further highlighted the recent approval of Sessional Paper No. 1 of 2025, outlining a renewed framework for Kenya’s foreign policy. The policy envisions Kenya as a regional hub of stability, a preferred investment destination, and a key contributor to peace and global cooperation, in alignment with Vision 2030 and the Bottom-Up Economic Transformative Agenda (BETA). Dr. Mudavadi also briefed envoys on Kenya’s recent diplomatic engagements, including state visits to the UK, Spain, China, and Japan, the hosting of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, and participation in forums such as the Africa-Singapore Ministerial Exchange and the Africa Climate Summit in Addis Ababa. These efforts underscore Kenya’s proactive role in shaping regional and international dialogue for sustainable development and global reform.
