Germany, Jordan, and UK urge immediate ceasefire amid escalating Sudan conflict

The foreign ministers of Germany, Jordan, and the United Kingdom have jointly called for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan, condemning the escalating violence as catastrophic. Their appeal followed reports that the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) had captured El-Fasher, the last major city in the Darfur region.

According to UN officials, RSF fighters have allegedly massacred over 450 people in a hospital and committed ethnically targeted killings and sexual assaults against civilians. Although the RSF denies the accusations, eyewitness accounts, satellite images, and videos circulating online point to large-scale atrocities unfolding in the city.
